Privacy

The short version

• No account and no login.
• No telemetry, no usage statistics, no tracker.
• No advertising, and nothing sold to anyone.

What stays on your computer

On a Mac, your environments, pinned apps, widgets, themes and settings live in Application Support, and do not leave it. The licence key and the signed receipt live in the Keychain.

On Windows, all of that lives in the %APPDATA%\PrimoDock folder, which belongs to your user alone, key and signed receipt included. The date the trial started is also noted in your user’s registry, under HKCU\Software\PrimoDock.

The three times the app talks to the internet

• Activating the licence, when you buy or change computers. The key, an identifier for the computer and the system language go out, so the licence can be checked and the seat counted. On a PC the identifier is the UUID the manufacturer wrote into the hardware, prefixed with win:, and the computer’s name and the app version go too. Freeing a computer sends only the key and the activation number.
• Checking for updates, if you leave that on. The request for the update file goes out and nothing else.
• Fetching the weather, if you use that widget and pick a city. The city you picked goes out, never your location.

The purchase

Purchases in US dollars are paid through Stripe, under its own privacy policy. Purchases in reais go through InfinitePay. Card details stay with them and never reach us. From either, we see the name, the email and the order, which is what it takes to deliver a key and give support.

We never have access to your card.

Trial emails

On the download page you can leave your email, if you want to. It is used for three messages: a tip, a heads-up before the trial ends and, after it, one question about what was missing. For nothing else. Anyone who has already bought does not get the last two.

We keep the address, the date and the page language. Sending goes through Resend. Every message has a link to leave the list, and you can also ask for deletion at apps@oprimo.dev. The address is never sold or handed to anyone.

This site

Everything above is about the app, which still has no telemetry. This site is a different matter: it uses Google Analytics to learn how many people visit, which pages they read, where they came from and whether they clicked to download or buy.

To do that Google Analytics keeps its own cookies in your browser (the ones starting with _ga) and receives your IP, browser and device type. Google signals and ad personalisation are off, there is no ad pixel, and none of it is tied to your e-mail or your licence.

If you would rather not be counted, an ad blocker or Google’s official Analytics opt-out extension is enough. The site works the same.

It does load two fonts from Google Fonts, and that request reaches Google with your IP, as any request to a server does. Moving those fonts onto our own domain is on the list.

The price follows the page language, dollars in English and reais in Portuguese. Nothing here looks up your location.

Your rights

Under Brazilian data protection law you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of what we hold, which is your purchase and, if you left it, the email from the download page. Write to apps@oprimo.dev and we answer within the same working day.
