What you need on a Mac

• macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.
• Apple Silicon or Intel. One file covers both.
• About 150 MB of free space.

What you need on Windows

• Windows 11.
• An x64 (Intel or AMD) or ARM64 processor. Each has its own installer. To see which one you have, open Settings › System › About and look at System type.
• About 300 MB of free space.

Installing on Windows

• Open the downloaded file. It installs for your user only, never asks for an administrator password, and opens PrimoDock when it is done.
• From then on the app updates itself: it downloads the new version in the background and applies it when you choose to restart.
• The Windows version has its own numbering, so its number will not match the Mac one.
• To uninstall, go to Settings › Apps › Installed apps › PrimoDock › Uninstall. If PrimoDock was hiding the taskbar, it comes back the way it was.

If Windows says the file may not be safe

• The installer is not code signed yet: it lacks the paid certificate that tells Windows who made the app. Without one, Windows and your browser warn about any new program few people have downloaded. The warning does not mean they found anything in the file.
• Only download it from this page. Both buttons above point to dl.criador.studio, the same server the Mac app comes from. A PrimoDock from anywhere else is not ours.
• In Edge, the download may show as "not commonly downloaded". Hover over it, click … › Keep, then Show more › Keep anyway. In Chrome, click Keep.
• When you open it, SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. This only happens on the first install: updates skip this warning.
• If it says Smart App Control blocked the file, there is no button to continue: that feature does not open unsigned apps. You can turn it off in Windows Security › App & browser control, but read what Windows tells you first. If you would rather not, write to apps@oprimo.dev and we will tell you when the signed version is out.
• If your antivirus quarantines the file, write to apps@oprimo.dev before allowing it. We want to see what it flagged.

Check the file

To be sure the file is exactly the one we published, open PowerShell, run the command below and compare the result with the code for your installer. If it does not match, do not install it and write to apps@oprimo.dev.

How the trial works

7 days from first launch, with everything unlocked, on Mac and on Windows. Nothing is held back during the trial.

We do not ask for a card and we do not create an account. The email above is optional, and the count lives on your computer.

After that the app asks for a licence. Your environments, widgets and settings stay exactly where they were.

Permissions on first launch

• For the basics, none, on Mac or on Windows.
• On a Mac, window previews ask for Screen Recording.
• On a Mac, the Calendar, Reminders and Music widgets ask for their own access, and only when you use them.

Earlier versions

Every Mac version we have ever shipped stays up, still signed and notarised by Apple. If an update went wrong on your Mac, you do not have to wait for the fix: download the one before it, drag it over the copy in Applications, and get back to work.

Two things worth knowing first. The app checks for updates on its own if you allowed that the first time you opened it, so it will offer the newer version again: just decline. And a newer version may have written your workspaces in a shape the older one does not read yet; if something looks out of place after going back, write to us before changing anything.
